I must say, tonight was the best nights I've had so far this month!
Cody and Keturah are moving out together into this cute little place in Hintonburg,
and I got to see it today! It was so perfect for them.
After that, we all headed to The Daily Grind.
It's a super cute art cafe in Chinatown, and Ket was playing a show there.
When we arrived, a friend of Cody's came over to me and asked if I was artistic enough
and willing to decorate the chalkboard right outside.
It was to declare "ACOUSTIC SHOW. PAY WHAT YOU CAN!"
also including the 3 artists' names who were performing.
"Patrick Steele - Kaleb Hikele - Keturah Johnson"
I had fun doing that, and I figured out later on that the guy who had asked me to do it
and occasionally came outside to chat, WAS Pat Steele.
He was a perfect mix between Zach Condon & Brendan Hines! (aka, the best)
Anyways. Then he did his 1 hour set, which was sooooooo goood :)
By the way, his band is called StillNative...
check em out!
Later on, Keith Micomonico and Mike Wisynski came!
They're just. Oh my I love em.
Mike sober and Mike drunk are the same thing. hilarious.
Keith is just a handsome jiujitsu pirate so....
that just about sums it up.
Oh!
Pat, Trevor, Rosa, Keith, and I sat outside for the rest of the night.
Pat and I talked about guitar
Trevor and I talked about music careers and Macy Paquet
Rosa and I talked about cats
and Keith and I talked about everything else in the world.
He took a beautiful picture of me unexpectedly, with the flash on.
Immediately on facebook and instagram? check.
Thanks Keithyyy
[if you couldn't tell, I was being sarcastic. Its wildly unattractive]
Keep in mind, everyone there was definitely over 20. Preferable. Very preferable.
Not to sound superior, but i just don't like people my age.
I think kids are dumb and really dumb.
Stop being dumb.
I don't know how else to describe it.
Grow up. Be mature. Use your brain and think things through.
I only have a handful of good friends my age
that I actually like.
As I was saying, I like company of older friends.
We have similar humours and social skills. HA though I can be awkward lul.
But I love talking to people.
Those people. Such foxy foxessss :)
At the end of the night, I gave my hugs and said my goodbyes.
The smell of beer on everyone's breath is always so memorable for me.
Is it weird to say that I love coming home
smelling like beer and cigarettes? :) Because I really do!
Its a reminder of all the fun times I've had with these people :)
Like Canada Day and Bluesfest.
[except bluesfest I came home covered IN beer sweat and dirt]
Still exhilarating.
Loving every second of summer.
Good moods are rare and last me a long time...
This is going to be a good last week of summer vacation :)
cheers,
